Mickey Dale, Production, Musician
Mickey's musical career began in 1990 when Poppy Factory's startling debut single "7 x 7" received critical acclaim, including NME's Single Of The Week. When Poppy Factory disbanded in 1992, he and singer Jock Cotton formed hardcore rock band Kitsch. Mickey also went on to work with several other bands in his own recording studio, including engineering and production of Coping Saw's debut album "Outside Now", performing and co-production on Lazerboy's "Forget Nothing" LP, playing bass, keys and co-writing with Leeds legends CUD, as well as touring the UK with Lazerboy, Copingsaw and Bear.
In 1996, producer Dave Creffield asked Mickey to write a string arrangement for Embrace's "All You Good Good People", who were at that time recording demos in a local studio. This led to Mickey taking on the keyboard and string arranging duties for Embrace's UK number 1 debut album 'The Good Will Out".
Prior to recording Embrace's second album "Drawn From Memory" Mickey became a full time member of Embrace, continuing to play keyboards, guitar, percussion and compose orchestral arrangements. Embrace went on to have further huge success with number 1 albums in 2004 and 2006 and are now preparing to begin work on another new record in 2010.
While working with legendary UK producer Youth, Mickey has composed and conducted strings with the London Session Orchestra.
Mickey's most recent project is co-writing, producing and playing keyboards with Talk To Angels, an exciting, young and vibrant band from Leeds/Bradford. He is producing their debut album "This Broken Home" with Will Jackson. The album will be available for licensing in early 2010.
Mickey's other passions include pop art, hi-fi, Frank Zappa and the entire works of Trey Parker and Matt Stone.

As a keyboard and guitar player he subsequently toured the World with various bands and solo artists including Magna Carta and Martyn Joseph. He drinks nuclear coffee, defies all smoking bans and once produced an album by The Smurfs that went triple platinum! He has also discovered oodles of successful bands from the Yorkshire region and produced the critically acclaimed and ground breaking debut by The Music. Between coffees he has worked with Kaiser Chiefs, Embrace, The Cribs and his ear for a hit was confirmed yet again when he produced The Pigeon Detectives 2007 debut album "Wait For Me" which has sold over 400,000 copies.
Will has been based at Soundworks Studios in Leeds since 1995 and works as an engineer, producer and arranger for many diverse projects.
